Speak Percussion will present the opening concert of the 2015 Metropolis New Music Festival on May 4th, featuring new compositions by three of Australia’s finest young composers – Alex Garsden, Jeanette Olivia Little and Peter de Jager. This weekend Sounds Unheard participants can go behind the scenes and attend an open rehearsal of No Optic, Jeanette Little’s new work for percussion, electronics and video projection, at the Speak Percussion studio. This is a unique opportunity to meet the artists, see how professional musicians and composers collaborate to bring new works to life, and get an exclusive preview of this exciting performance.
